Recently Crown World Mobility had the privilege to sponsor the 2018 NZ Women in Leadership (NZWIL) Alumnae Symposium, in Wellington. The NZWIL programme exists to support and encourage the development of women who are, or aspire to be, leaders within the university sector.
This event hosted by Victoria University was an unparalleled gathering of New Zealand’s finest female talent. Women from all sectors came together for the two day event. The symposium showcased an exceptional line up of inspirational guest speakers headlined by Dame Patsy Reddy, GNZM QSO Governor General. They shared stories and presented on a range of topics from gender equality and career advancement right through to life balance and fulfilment.
Crown were represented at the event by our Corporate Services Manager Geraldine Babbe. Geraldine came back bubbling with enthusiasm after this life changing event. She was inspired by the openness of the forum, her key takeaway being the need for both men and women to support, encourage and contribute to the development of women in leadership roles. This can be achieved through a focus on mentoring, coaching, social networking and the elimination of negative mind sets and road blocks.
The symposium was a huge success and we would like to both congratulate and thank the organisers, the speakers and everyone involved for making this happen and leaving such a lasting impression.
